@Fenng Agree:) Ubuntu Server or Debian without X, good for Linux learners. I run AMP + Mediawiki on a Ubuntu VM, it's slim and stable:)

Google Desktop for Linux is much better than Windows and OSX (I doubt few people use this on Leopard) version.

@dtan All IO devices ceased to work, even no beep. Including Ctrl+Alt+F1-6, Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. Nothing in the log:)

1st time I saw this in my 7 yrs experience with GNU/Linux. In theory at least I should be able to kill X and use other 6 terminals...

Linux froze after I did a silly change to rdesktop and connect to a Windows box. It died totally, can't kill X, can't use other consoles...
